THROWBACK THURSDAY....Circa 1985, me with the great Secretariat at Claiborne Farms in Paris, Kentucky. It was the opportunity of a lifetime to meet and photograph the "Legend," he was such a pro, the minute he saw my camera he just stood in a perfect conformation pose. I cherish that roll of film.

Thomas Allen Pauly: The Fine Art of Racing

We are very excited to announce the next featured artist at ThePoisonCup! The work of award winning equine artist Thomas Allen Pauly is now on exhibit and will be up through the end of the year. An opening and tasting is scheduled for December 6th from 5-8pm. Enjoy a tasting of fine wines and meet the artist behind these incredible works.

From his website at HorseArtist.com: "Since 1978, award-winning equine artist Thomas Allen Pauly has portrayed some of the finest horses and jockeys in the country. Born and raised in Chicago, his love of the sport emerged in the Sportsman's Park's winner circle when his friend's horse named Rusty Win captured the feature race by five lengths. He was hooked.

"Pauly now travels extensively throughout the world to photograph his subjects in their natural settings. Thomas Allen Pauly Goes Back to School

On June 5, 2013, I had the wonderful opportunity to revisit my harness racing roots by
enrolling into the United States Trotting Association's (USTA) annual Harness Horse
Driving Class. Hoof Beats Magazine and I would love to share my photo journal of the
5 days of my great adventure in Goshen, NY, the birthplace of harness racing.
